Here are some of my favorite trends for Fall/Winter 2019
This fall season the runways had fun with jazz club themes and an emotional tribute to Chanel’s Karl Lagerfeld. I’m pretty crazy about what I saw on the runway! Big, oversized suit jackets, shimmery coats, oversized furry jackets, Ralph Lauren’s sleek, tailored yet feminine, tuxedo looks, hats are baaaack, lots of shimmer and shine, fun graphic tees, and finally we’re seeing more older models walking the runways.
If you’re like most of us, you don’t necessarily buy designer fashions due to budget constraints, but the good news is all brands participate in this infusion of new colors, textures, and styles, and you’ll see “streetwear” versions of designer fashion in Marshalls, Dillards, Ross, Target, and even Amazon.
Click on the streetwear pieces you like, and it will take you to the Target website to purchase the garment. These are affiliate links, and if you purchase through the link, it doesn’t cost you any extra, but the company will pay me a small commission. Thank you!
Chanel Houndstooth
With the passing of Karl Lagerfeld, I sense that the classic houndstooth is even more meaningful this year. I love this black and white pattern in a jumpsuit, dress, or coat. Below is the Chanel designer fashion, and next, there are some Target fashions using this timeless print.
Leather & Plaid Exemplify Fall
Khaite is a designer new to the New York Fashion Week Runway. The stylish combinations of leather and plaid exemplify fall. Take a look at some Target pieces that reflect this chic look.
Sumptuous Coats
Who doesn’t love a fluffy, soft coat? As the days and nights turn cold, these faux fur coats will keep you toasty!
Expressive Graphic Tees
The thing I love about graphic tees is they’re so playful and artistic (well…they CAN be!), and they have a message. They’re meant to be fun, not taken seriously, and a great piece to wear under a jacket, sweater, or vest. Have you saved your concert tee shirts from the 60s, 70s, or 80s? Go for it!
