Summer is the perfect time to wear free and easy clothes that look great and feel wonderful on your body — not too tight, shows just a little skin to keep you fresh and cool, and all you need to add is some statement jewelry and comfortable sandals.
I’m going to suggest that you consider trying a jumpsuit this summer. There are so many different colors, shapes, and sizes in the stores because the jumpsuit, or “onesy,” is so trendy! Who says getting dressed up should always involve a dress?
You can find casual to chic jumpsuits…take a look at these examples and let me know what you think. Are you ready to give it a whirl????
The following jumpsuits are available to purchase online, and I’m providing affiliate links to take you to the item. I receive a very small commission from the online store, and it doesn’t cost you a penny extra to purchase through an affiliate link. I appreciate if you’re going to buy an item here or on our Facebook page, that you use the affiliate link provided by me or a Style Resource Team member. We work hard to provide you with the loveliest clothing and accessory suggestions to meet your fashion needs!
The first is a Tied Linen Mustard Yellow Jumpsuit by Anthropologie (one of my all-time favorite design brands!). Can be dressed up or down. The only thing you’d have to do is wear a strapless bra or maybe even go bra-less with this one. Tempting, isn’t it?
And, another Anthropologie nautically inspired navy and white jumpsuit creates such a gorgeous silhouette! This could be worn to a wedding or on a date night with a diamond or pearl necklace and earrings and strappy sandals.
Have a wedding to attend this summer? I’m loving this oh so affordable and oh so feminine Asos Design lavender jumpsuit with embroidery and lace up details on the side.
On the more sophisticated side, wearing this Club Monaco silk jumpsuit will surely get you noticed in the all the best ways! You’ll be dancing up a storm in this gorgeous sultry number!
Ready for some fruity fun? Wear this Gianni Bini Botanical Fruit Jumpsuit and feel lovely as a lemon!!!
Finally, leave it to Trina Turk to create this WOW red jumpsuit that will pump up your confidence level to a 10! Easy to wear a supportive bra, wide-legged pant, and tie to create a lovely silhouette.
Here’s one of our very own fashionista sisters, Margaret Ann Whalen, wearing a Tommy Hilfiger jumpsuit! She looks so fresh, modern, and comfortably chic.
Just read some of the other comment and I am 4ft 11” and big busted but smaller hips and legs and I think they look fine
Funnily enough I have just ordered my 3rd jumpsuit. They are so easy to wear and can be dressed up or down accordingly
I just saw a beautiful black jumpsuit with a cold-shoulder and chiffon bell-sleeves and wide leg pants that would look amazing on you. The upper body flowing sleeve will counter balance your hips. Here’s the link to check it out, https://fave.co/2JydAp3
Never give up!!! There is just the right silhouette out there for you, Joyce. I’m picturing an empire waist v-neck jumpsuit with a long leg line. The empire waist will raise up your waistline, and give you a longer leg line. The v-neck will elongate your chest area and de-emphasize the “girls.”
I am short (5’2 1/2”) but long waisted, need short or petite pants and skirts. I have not tried any of the new jumpsuits but when I tried to wear them years ago they just didn’t fit right. I am a busty med top and small (6-8) bottom. Any ideas or should I just give it up?
Linda, do you feel that short-waisted pear shapes can wear jumpsuits? I am only 5’1″ and carry most of my weight in my upper thighs and buttocks area. I have tried several on but they either seem to be too big, or the legs are too narrow. Any suggestions, or is it better for me to walk away from this style entirely! LOL!!!
Love jump suits very easy to wear
